China publishes draft food safety regulation in bid for public support

China launched public discussions on its new, draft food safety law that was published on the National People's Congress (NPC) website, last Sunday.

The members of the public were invited to provide their comments and suggestions on the new draft law, which provides for the penalties for those that do not meet the standards of food safety laid out in the law.
