South Korea bans junk food commercials to children

Junk food commercials will no longer be permitted on Korean television between 5pm and 7pm or during children's programmes after the government passed a bill restricting the airing time of high-calorie, low-nutrition foods in an effort to reduce child obesity.??The new law applies to products that contain more than the standard amount of sugar, fat or sodium such as instant noodles, hamburgers and pizza – the Korea Food and Drug Administration will publish a list of products that fall under the measure.
